About Catholic Church Fresno Holy Cross Center for Women
For over 30 years, Saint Agnes Holy Cross Center for Women in downtown Fresno has served as a refuge for homeless and underserved women and their children in Fresno, Clovis, Madera, Kerman, Selma, and Fowler. Operated by Saint Agnes Medical Center and the Catholic Church Fresno Sisters of the Holy Cross, the Center provides daytime shelter, counseling and referral services, education and skills training, clothing, laundry and shower facilities, and social activities. In addition, the center offers summer programs children and teens ages 4-17.
Each day, Holy Cross Center for Women provides services for an average of 126 women and 14 children. In one month alone, the Center provides nearly 500 articles of clothing, diapers for an average of 222 children, 543 showers, and 224 loads of laundry.
More than meeting these basic needs, the center is helping to transform lives and build a healthier community. Thanks to a grant from Trinity Health’s Preserving Our Legacy Fund, and generous gifts of time and materials from local contractors, the center underwent a 554-square-foot expansion in 2017 to accommodate the nearly 600 children who participate in the 6-week summer program.

Fresno Church wants to make an impact on our city that will last for generations to come. They would love to have you come and visit one of their services on Sunday’s at 9:30 or 11:00 am. If there is ever anything they can do to help meet a need you have, please don’t hesitate to contact them. It is their heart to use the Word of God and the Bible to help point people to the Person of Jesus through our various Bible studies for men and Bible studies for women, ministries and church programs.
They Are Committed to Jesus Christ
They are not perfect, but they make it their goal to always be growing in their commitment to Jesus Christ. Regardless of where a person may be individually on their journey, they want to develop their relationship with God.
They Are Connected to the Church
People were not created to be in isolation. The Christian faith was meant to be lived out in the context of relationships, first with God, then with others. They strive to be a community of people where authentic love is on display.
They Are Compassionate towards Fresno
They exist for the people who are outside of their four walls. Jesus said in the Bible that He came to seek and save those who were lost, hurting, and in need. They want to continue that mission in our city and around the world.
