About Hinds Hospice:

Hinds Hospice provides comfort care and support that adds quality of life to the natural end-of-life journey. They have been a trusted hospice care provider since 1981 and serves the communities of Fresno, Madera and Merced counties. Hinds Hospice consists of a professional staff of 190, over 300 devoted volunteers and a dedicated Board of Directors. They help those living with a terminal condition, their caregivers and those who have lost a loved one.

In addition to providing hospice care services in both the Hinds Hospice Home and in a patient’s own home environment, they also offer an extensive bereavement (grief) support program through their Center for Grief and Healing, specially trained pediatric hospice and skilled nursing teams, a perinatal hospice and infant loss support program, “Angel Babies/Bebitos Angelitos,” a formal physician education program, global outreach, and four thrift stores throughout the Central Valley.
Hinds Hospice staff and volunteers help the people of our communities deal with difficult questions, such as:

  • If you or a loved one were seriously ill or in pain, do you know where to get information about resources and services that could help you?
  • Do you have plans for the kind of health care you would want and not want if you became unable to speak for yourself?
  • Have you talked with anyone about end-of-life care for yourself or your loved ones?
  • Would you like to do more to improve the quality of care and quality of life for people in your community who are seriously ill?

Another good church in the Central Valley Is Fresno Church

Fresno Church wants to make an impact on the city of Fresno that will last for generations to come. They would love to have you come and visit one of their services on Sunday’s at 9:30 or 11:00 am. If there is ever anything they can do to help meet a need you have, please don’t hesitate to contact them. It is their heart to use the Word of God and the Bible to help point people to the Person of Jesus through our various Bible studies for men and Bible studies for women, ministries and church programs.

They Are Committed to Jesus Christ

They are not perfect, but they make it their goal to always be growing in their commitment to Jesus Christ. Regardless of where a person may be individually on their journey, they want to develop their relationship with God.

They Are Connected to the Church

People were not created to be in isolation. The Christian faith was meant to be lived out in the context of relationships, first with God, then with others. They strive to be a community of people where authentic love is on display.

They Are Compassionate towards Fresno

They exist for the people who are outside of their four walls. Jesus said in the Bible that He came to seek and save those who were lost, hurting, and in need. They want to continue that mission in the Central Valley and around the world.
